WORK. WORK. WORK.

You woke up! Good work.
You then got dressed and pressed into your ride and got to work. Great job!
And then you met the boss and got a little stressed. Well…
Alright then, up up op… it’s time to race the clock. Work .Work. Work. Coz there’s a deadline on the hook.
Print a sheet, shoot a mail, book a flight, cancel that meeting. JSRs and PNRs and QnAs and get-outta-da-way.
Catch up for lunch? Catch up?! Are we moving slow? Guess it’s time to run again. Yo!
Chit-chat. Rant Rant. Another late evening. Sulk Sulk.
And finally when you’re done with work. They say let’s chill!
But where?
They say look up a nice new place. With the right music and maybe happy hours. Possibly a nice Live gig or smooth Jazz, or maybe Electronica?
Is That Right! Did we just get more WORK?!

Tap a button and discover your kinda places around you!

Woke. – S01e01 – Ft. Zokhuma & Kumail

at Radio Bar, Bandra West,
on 27th July.

KUMAIL:
Kumail Hamid is a young music producer, who has been experimenting with music that can only be classified under the ambiguous label of “electronic music”. His music boldly pushes the level of experimentation of the current “scene” beyond its club friendly confines, exploring the more ethereal regions of sound. Heavily manipulated live recordings coupled with atmospheric synths and meticulously panned rhythm sections form the fundamental characteristics of his music.

His live act ranges from ambient soundscapes to his more recent, Hip-Hop influenced beats. So far, Kumail has released two well received EP’s and his most recent, very colourful full length album titled ‘Links’.

ZOKHUMA:
At the bleeding edge of his own future, Zokhuma (Arman Menzies) represents the end of old things, the beginning of new ones, and a forged alliance with those making alternative electronic music in previously uncharted territories. Unafraid to criss-cross between soundscapes you’ve never heard—think frantic, chopped-up African beats or moodier, experimental electronica—and soundscapes that are all too familiar, his
sensibilities have a way of putting any audience at ease. As does his infectious energy behind the console.

IMAGINE THIS:
Unpredictable, experimental Electronic music.
